Alice was born about 1805 in Clipston. She was married to John Cox, of Desborough, before 1841.

Alice's surname is not yet known and her date of birth is derived from the 1841 and 1851 censuses. Unfortunately her memorial is severely corroded and the year of death is no longer visible. This means that, though her age is reasonably clear it can't be used to confirm either a birth or a death year.
