WE William Wade, Rich Edgley Sen and Thomas Berry
Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the parish of Ashley
in the County of Northampton hereby own and acknowledge William
Bussby his wife and family to be our inhabitants legally settled
in our parish of Ashley aforesaid, and we do hereby promise for
our selves and Successors to receive back the said William
Bussby his Wife and Family, whenever they shall become
chargeable to, or ask Relief of any of your Church wardens or
overseers of the parish of Desborough or to any of the
parishinors of Desborough in the County of Northampton to which
Place the said William Bussby is now removing for the better
Support and Maintenance of himself and his Family, in witness
whereof, we have hereunto set our Hands and Seals the
Twentyfirst Day of June in the Eleventh Year of the Reign of our
Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Second, by the Grace of GOD of
Great-Britain, France and Ireland, King,
Defender of the Faith, and so forth; and in the Year of our Lord
one thousand seven hundred and thirty and seaven.

Northton
to Wit To the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of ye Parish
of Desborough in the County of Northampton or to any of them.
WE whose Names are hereunto subscribed, Justices of the Peace of the
County of Northamton aforesaid, do allow of the Certificate above
written, and certify that Edward Timson one of the subscribing
Witnesses made Oath before us that he did see the Church-wardens and
Overseers of the Poor above named set their Hands and Seals to this
Certificate, and that his Name and the Names of the other Witnesses
were their proper Hand writing.
Dated the 22d Day of June in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven
hundred and thirty seven
