Removal Order 23rd November 1807
from Desborough to Narborough in Leicestershire

County of Northampton

To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Desborough in the said County and to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Narborough in the County of Leicester and to each and every of them.

UPON the Complaint of the churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the Parish of Desborough aforesaid, in the said County of Northampton unto us, whose names are hereunto set, and seals affixed, being two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the said County of Northampton and one of us of the quorum, that Jonathan Yeomans Mary his Wife, and Phebe their Daughter aged two years and Mary their Daughter aged one year And Joseph aged twelve years Harry aged ten years and Ann aged Six years by a former wife have come to inhabit in the said Parish of Desborough not having gained a legal settlement there, nor produced any certificate, owning them to be settled elsewhere, and that the said Jonathan Yeomans Mary his said wife and said Children are become chargeable to the said Parish of Desborough

We, the said Justices, upon due Proof made thereof, as well upon the examination of the said Jonathan Yeomans upon oath, as otherwise, and likewise upon due consideration had of the premises, do adjudge the same to be true; and we do likewise adjudge, that the lawful settlement of them the said Jonathan Yeomans Mary his Wife and the said Children is in the said Parish of Narborough in the said County of Leicester

We do therefore require you the said churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the said Parish of Desborough or some, or one of you, to convey the said Jonathan Yeomans Mary his wife and the said Children from and out of your said Parish of Desborough to the said Parish of Narborough and them to deliver to the churchwardens and overseers of the poor there, or to some, or one of them, together with this our order, or a true copy thereof; And we do also hereby require you the said churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the said Parish of Narborough to receive and provide for them as inhabitants of your said Parish

Given under our hands and seals the twenty third day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seven.
