Removal Order 14th May 1816
from Desborough to St Mary Nottingham

County of Northampton to wit

To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Desborough in the said County and to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St Mary in the Town of Nottingham and to each and every of them.

UPON the Complaint of the churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the Parish of Desborough aforesaid, in the said County of Northampton unto us, whose names are hereunto set, and seals affixed, being two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the said County of Northampton and one of us of the quorum, that John Morris hath come to inhabit in the said Parish of Desborough not having gained a legal settlement there, nor produced any certificate, owning him to be settled elsewhere, and that the said John Morris hath become chargeable to the said Parish of Desborough

We, the said Justices, upon due Proof made thereof, as well upon the examination of the said John Morris upon oath, as otherwise, and likewise upon due consideration had of the premises, do adjudge the same to be true; and we do likewise adjudge, that the lawful settlement of him the said John Morris is in the said Parish of St Mary in the Town of Nottingham

We do therefore require you the said churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the said Parish of Desborough or some, or one of you, to convey the said John Morris from and out of your said Parish of Desborough to the said Parish of St Mary in the Town of Nottingham and him to deliver to the churchwardens and overseers of the poor there, or to some, or one of them, together with this our order, or a true copy thereof; and we do also hereby require you the said churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the said Parish of St Mary to receive and provide for Him as an inhabitant of your said Parish

Given under our hands and seals the fourteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Sixteen.
