Settlement Certificate from Ashley

Northampton Shire To witt
WE the Church-Wardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Ashley in the said County, do hereby
certify, own and acknowledge Edward Weston and Dorithy his wife also
Elizabeth Mary Ann and Mariah their Children to be Lawful Inhabitants legally settled in the parish of
Ashley in the County aforesaid in witness whereof we have hereunto
set our Hands and Seals the twentythird Day of November in the Year of our
Lord 1790.

WE whose Names are hereunto subscribed, two of his
Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the County of Northampton
aforesaid, do allow of the above-written Certificate. And we do also
certify, that James Biggs one of the Witnesses who attested the Execution of
the said Certificate, hath this Day made Oath before us that the
said Justices, that he did see the
Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor, whose Names and Seals are
hereunto subscribed and set, severally sign and seal the same, and that the Names of the said
James Biggs and of Edward Weston whose names are
subscribed, as Witness to the Execution of the said
Certificate, are respectively of their own proper Hand-writing.
Given under our Hands the 12th Day of January in the Year
of our Lord 1791
