Removal Order 23rd Feb 1819
from Desborough to Narborough in Leicestershire
County of Northampton To Wit.
To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of Desborough in the said County, and to the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Narborough in
the County of Leicester and to each and every of them.
UPON the complaint of the churchwardens and overseers of the poor
of the Parish of Desborough aforesaid, in the said county of
Northampton unto us, whose names are hereunto set, and seals
affixed, being two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for
the said county of Northampton and one of us of the quorum, that
Thomas Jarvis hath come to inhabit in the said parish of Desborough
not having gained a legal settlement there, nor produced any
certificate, owning him to be settled elsewhere, and that the said
Thomas Jarvis hath become chargeable to the said parish of
Desborough. We, the said Justices, upon due proof made thereof, as
well upon the examination of the said Thomas Jarvis upon oath, as
otherwise, and likewise upon due consideration had of the premises,
do adjudge the same to be true; and we do likewise adjudge that the
lawful settlement of him the said Thomas Jarvis is in the said
parish of Narborough in the said county of Leicester
We do therefore require you the said churchwardens and overseers
of the poor of the said parish of Desborough or some or one of
you, or any proper person or persons to be employed by you, to
convey the said Thomas Jarvis from and out of your said parish of
Desborough to the said parish of Narborough and him to deliver to
the churchwardens and overseers of the poor there, or to some or one
of them, together with this our order, or a true copy thereof; and
we do also hereby require you the said churchwardens and overseers
of the poor of the said parish of Narborough to receive and provide
for him as an inhabitant of your parish.
Given under our hands and seals the twenty third day of February
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Nineteen.
