Removal Order 2nd Jul 1822
from Desborough to Thorpe Malsor
County of Northampton To Wit.
To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
Desborough in the said County, and to the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish of Thorpe Malsor in the
County of Northamptonshire and to each and every of them.
UPON the complaint of the churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the
Parish of Desborough aforesaid, in the said county of Northampton unto us,
whose names are hereunto set, and seals affixed, being two of his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace in and for the said county of Northampton and one of
us of the quorum, that
Anne Wallis
has come to inhabit
in the said parish of Desborough not having gained a legal settlement there,
nor produced any certificate, owning her to be settled elsewhere,
and that the said Anne Wallis has become chargeable to
the said parish of Desborough We, the said Justices, upon due
proof made thereof, as well upon the examination of the said Anne Wallis
upon oath, as otherwise, and likewise upon due consideration had of the
premises, do adjudge the same to be true; and we do likewise adjudge that
the lawful settlement of her the said Anne Wallis is
in the said parish of Thorpe Malsor in the said county of Northamptonshire
We do therefore require you the said churchwardens and overseers of the
poor of the said parish of Desborough or some or one of you, or any proper
person or persons to be employed by you, to convey the said Anne Wallis from and out of your said parish of Desborough to the said
parish of Thorpe Malsor and her to deliver to the churchwardens
and overseers of the poor there, or to some or one of them, together with
this our order, or a true copy thereof; and we do also hereby require you
the said churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the said parish of
Thorpe Malsor to receive and provide for her as an inhabitant of
your parish.
Given under our hands and seals the second day of July in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty two.
