Settlement Certificate from Rushton
1st March 1741

Northton fs: To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the parish of Desborow in the County aforesaid

We the Churchwardens And Overseers of the poor of the Rushton in the said county do hereby certifie that we own and acknowledge William Kidney Dyer, and Mary his wife to be inhabitants in our said parish of Rushton, and we do hereby promise for our selves and successors to recieve the said William Kidney with his wife into our said parish of Rushton whenever they shall become chargeable or ask relief in witness whereof we the said Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of Rushton have hereunto set our hands and seals this first day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty one

We whose names are hereunto subscribed two of his Majesty's justices of the peace for the abovesaid county of Northton do allow the above written certificate and do hereby certifie that William Bosworth one of the witnesses who attested the execution of the said certificate hath made oath before us that he saw the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor whose names and seals are to the said certificate subscribed and set severaly sign and seal it, and that the names of the witnesses are of their own proper handwriting dated this 2nd day of March 1741
