OPENING OF A NEW ORGAN
ON WEDNESDAY, May 18, 1836, the NEW
ORGAN at DESBOROUGH, Northamptonshire, will be OPENED with A GRAND SELECTION of
SACRED MUSIC. The Performance in the Afternoon, to commence precisely at Two
o'clock, will consist of a Selection from Haydn, Mozart, and a part of a New
Sacred Oratorio, "Adoration," with a Selection from the "Voice of Melody."
In the Evening of the same Day, at Six o'clock, the Performance will consist
of a Selection from the Dettingen Te Deum and the Messiah.
A powerful and effective Vocal and Instrumental Band is engaged for the
Occasion, with Trumpets, Double Drums, &c.
A Lady of very distinguished Musical Talent will preside at the Organ.
