REFORM ASSOCIATION
ON Wednesday week, a public meeting of the friend of Reform, was held at the
Cabin of Comfort, Desborough, for the purpose of establishing a Reform
Association. On the motion of Mr. Joseph Forster, seconded by Mr. John Cox, Mr.
George Dawkins took the chair. The chairman opened the business of the evening,
by stating that the object of the meeting was to establish a Reform Association
in Desborough, for the purpose of procuring the registration of all qualified
persons attached to liberal principle; for diffusing sound political information
and for other objects connected with the improvement of our National
Institutions.—A series of resolutions was then proposed, seconded, and adopted,
with a view to effect the objects contemplated by the meeting.
