KETTERING

		PETTY SESSIONS,
JULY.- Present, the Revds. J. Hogg,
		J. Wetherall,
and  Rev. G. E. Hanmer, and the Hon. R. Watson.

		Charles Johnson,
		Robert Taylor,
		and Livius Jinns,
		and George Bamford,
all of Desborough, appeared to answer to a charge of assaulting
		police-constable
		Jeffs on the
		night of 15th June.
		George Johnson
was also charged with the same offence, but he did not appear. It
appeared that on the above night the complainant was thrown down and
seized by the throat, but the only one of the party against whom the
assault could be clearly proved, was George Johnson, for whose
apprehension a warrant was issued. The defendants present were cautioned
		and dismissed.
