Market Harborough
Petty Sessions,
April 19th
—Present, W. De Capell Brooke, Esq.
Only one magistrate being present to-day, several cases were necessarily
adjourned, to the great disappointment, inconvenience, and expense of
the parties attending.
W. Burditt, of Desborough, was charged by
Wm. Morriss Iliff,
with misconduct and general bad behaviour while in his service.
—Mr. Brooke was about to commit the defendant, but as Mr. Iliff wished
to discharge him from his service, and the House of Correction being but
a middling preparatory school for another situation, Burditt was
dismissed on paying costs.
