Alfred Thompson

29th March 1851

Alfred Thompson, of Desborough, grocer, was charged by Rufus Tirrell with getting into his house when the household was in bed, between 10 and 11 o'clock, for an unlawful purpose, on Saturday night. Tirrell said his wife awoke him, saying there was somebody in the room. He got up, fetched a light, and found Thompson, who was committed as a vagabond to the House of Correction, to hard labour, for one fortnight.
