Inquest, 25th July 1885
DESBOROUGH
A FATAL ACCIDENT occurred at Kilborn's Lodge between Desborough and
Braybrooke, on Friday evening, July 24, to a lad named Yeomans, son of
John Yeomans, who lives at the Lodge. The lad, who was between five and
six years old, was put on the middle horse of three, engaged in carrying
hay, by one of the workmen, when the horses suddenly moved on,
precipitating the lad to the ground, The second wheel of the waggon
passed over the lad's head, and killed him instantly. On Saturday an
inquest was held at the Lodge, when the jury gave a verdict of "Accidental
death."
