Inquest, 4th February 1892
DESBOROUGH
INQUEST.—Mr. J. T. Parker held an inquest at the Angel Inn, on
Thursday evening on the body of John Aprice, a carter, aged 53, who died
suddenly the previous afternoon. The circumstances attending the death
occasioned considerable excitement in the place. Aprice was engaged
loading coal at the station, and about three o'clock on Wednesday
afternoon was found lying in his cart quite dead. It appeared that some
time ago he suffered from rheumatic fever, which left behind it heart
disease, and this was the cause of death. A verdict in accordance with
this was returned.
