Wilful Damage, 1886
Samuel B. Flude, Joseph Hawkins, and George Bull were charged with
doing wilful damage to underwood at Harrington on the 5th September. The
defendants were all Desborough boys, and it appeared from the evidence
that on Sunday, 5th September, they went nutting in a spinney on the
estate of Mr. R. C. Taylor, at Harrington, where they did a considerable
amount of damage amongst the growing plants. The case, however, was not
pressed against them, and they were dismissed on payment of fine and
costs amounting to 6s. 3d. each.
