William Henley: Theft of Sheep

ROWELL ASSOCIATION,
15 Guineas Reward
WHEREAS some Person or Persons did on SATURDAY
NIGHT last,
SLAUGHTER, in a CLOSE
in DESBOROUGH, in the County of Northampton, belonging to Mr. WILLIAM
HENLEY, and adjoining the Lordship of Rushton,
ONE EWE SHEEP,
the Property of the said William Henley. The Carcase and Skin were
taken away; the Entrails were found near a water Mill in the adjoining
Close;—a reddle Dot on the Rump was the only Mark.
Whoever will give Information, so that the Offender or Offenders may
be apprehended and convicted, shall receive a Reward of FIVE GUINEAS, to
be paid by the TREASURER of the above ASSOCIATION; and a further Reward
of TEN GUINEAS will be paid by the said WILLIAM HENLEY.
