Murder, 1825

TEN GUINEAS REWARD.

For the Apprehension of JOHN KILBORN (Son of Thomas Kilborn), late of DESBOROUGH, in the County of Northampton, Labourer, for Felony.

WHEREAS, at the last Summer Assizes, NORTHAMPTON, for the County of Northampton, a Bill of Indictment for MURDER was found by the Grand Jury against the above-mentioned JOHN KILBORN, who had previously absconded, and the Judge then presiding issued his Warrant for his Apprehension, but the said John Kilborn hath hitherto evaded Justice:

Notice is hereby given,

That the above Reward of TEN GUINEAS will be paid by the CONSTABLE of DESBOROUGH aforesaid to any Person or Persons who shall apprehend the said John Kilborn, and lodge him in one of his Majesty's Gaols, or bring him to the said Constable; and such Reward will be paid on the said John Kilborn being fully committed for Trial.

The Offender stands about five Feet five Inches high, is stout made, has a round Visage, light Hair and a Mark on one of his Cheeks caused by a recent Bile; his Language is Provincial, Wheedling, and Smooth; he has been bred to the Farming Business. It is suspected he has been secreting himself in some of the Seaport Towns on the Coast of Yorkshire or Lincolnshire, and that he passes under an assumed Name.
