06 Nov 1915Officer i/c Records No. 9 District asked whether Horsley was a married man as he had answered 'Yes' to question 6 on the attestation, but the next of kin was shown as 'father'
12 Nov 1915C.O. 1 Coy, 3rd Northamptonshire Regt responded 'Pte Horsley is a married man, but separated from his wife, who is living with another man. Not wishing his wife to benefit in the event of his death, he nominated his father as his next of kin.'
