Jesse Marlow was
born in Desborough about 1857, the son of Charles Marlow of Desborough and
Sarah Shortland of Oakley Parva.
Jesse married
Sarah Ann Reckless
of Rothwell. The couple's eldest son
Charles was
killed in action during the First World War. Their second son, Frank,
served from 1913 to 1919; his character
was markedly different from his father.
