HERE REPOSE THE MORTAL REMAINS OF THE GREAT AND GOOD LORD DENMAN AGED 75. HE BY THE AID OF HIS BROTHER JUDGES GAVE TWO EXTRA YEARS OF SITTINGS BETWEEN 1838 & 1850 BY WHICH MEASURE EXTENDED TO OTHER COURTS DELAYS WERE MADE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE IN ALL OUR COURTS OF COMMON LAW. HE LEAVES 48 LINEAL DESCENDANTS. HE WAS A FIRM BUT HUMBLE BELIEVER IN CHRIST
