In Memory of LISS ANN WIFE of THOMAS SHORTLAND Who departed this Life May the 15th, 1832 AGED 37 YEARS. Here in its parent dust lie the remains
Of one whose Body bore severest pains
Till Death permitted shot its fatal dart
And God decreed her Soul should hence depart
And now we hope that she by Sovereign love
Elected was to reign with Christ above
And may all those whom she esteem'd most dear
In the last Day at God's right hand appear.
